as + adj. + sth. + as + adj.

like 与 as 的区别

  • Like me, she enjoys all kinds of music.
  • She enjoys all kinds of music, as I do.

  • Nobody understands him [like/as] I do.

  • He worked as a slave.
  • He worked like a slave.
  • She worked as a teacher for many years.
  • Our doctor always talks to me like a teacher talking to a child.

  • He ate like a beast.
  • She can eat like a horse and never put on weight.

  • He used his umbrella as a weapon.
  • Please don't use that knife as a screwdriver.

  • The police want as many people as possible to march through the area.
  • She also worked hard to make as many countries as possible agree not to use them.

agree + to + do. + (sth.)

agree with、agree to 及 agree on 的区别

agree with...
  • I don't agree with you.
  • They agreed with this idea.
  • I don't agree with what you said.
  • The weather does not agree with me.
  • Hard work does not agree with him.
  • A verb must agree with its subject in person and number.
  • What he does does not agree with what he says.
agree to...
agree to sth.

  • Who else will agree to this suggestion besides him?
  • We agreed to their arrangement.
  • She agreed to marriage.

  • I was forced to agree to it, but at heart I didn't quite agree with it.

  • Do you think he will [agree to/accept] my suggestion?
agree to do.

do.

  • He agreed to go with us.
agree to sb. doing.

  • I never agreed to Mary marrying him.
agree on...

agree on...

  • We agree on leaving for Beijing the next day.
  • We agreed on the price.
  • Both sides agreed on these terms.

They agreed to let me go.

正: They agreed to my going.

误: They agreed me to go.

also + do.

also、too 有何区别

  • Here, too, the colon must be followed by a dash.

many of 与 much of 的用法

  • He spends much of his time outdoors.

be. + [possible/impossible]

  • Snow is possible, though not probable.
  • What he says is impossible.
It + be. + [possible/impossible] + (for + sb.) + to + do. + (sth.)

possible/impossible后接不定式时,且不定式中的do.

形式主语it指代to + do.成份。

所谓的do.

1. 如果do.

2. 如果do.

It is [possible/impossible] for us to win the match.

误: We are [possible/impossible] to win the match.

The match is impossible for us to win.

The match is possible for us to win.

It + be. + [possible/impossible] + that + 主语从句

  • It's possible that he hasn't received the letter.
  • It is impossible that he [should] forget our meeting.
